With respect to the German Shepherds
As you enter our world, you will see that we strive not only for incredible
beauty, but for intelligence, health and longevity. These are the things that
together make for a truly great German Shepherd Dog.
We also believe it is far more important to maintain a solid and sound foundation
than to pursue a succession of hollow victories. There is no weight heavier
than that of the new born puppy, who carries with it all the results of our
genetic decisions.
Another MUST is intelligence...
There is nothing WORSE than a German Shepherd Dog with the
'million dollar talent and a ten cent brain.'

Author Unknown. _____________________________________________________________ I wanted to say a few words with respect to the German Shepherd Dog... Please, be certain that you have done your homework and are absolutely sure that you can live with a dog of this caliber. German Shepherd Dogs are devoted and loving family members but also require a lot of work, attention and nurturing. I have recently had two adult males returned to me because of their owners lack of knowledge pertaining to the breed and their unwillingness to accept that sometimes dogs make mistakes. These dogs are now in loving new homes but I am sure their transition was not an easy one. Please remember that these gentle creatures have minds and hearts much like our own. I am sure they go through a period of wondering why their families have abandoned them. This people, disappoints me and breaks my heart!!!! They are like your kids, please do not do to them, what you would not do to your own children! So, with this in mind, remember, a dog is a lifetime commitment! If you are not prepared to make such a commitment, DO NOT get a German Shepherd Dog! |
